Flavour and description
An ancient Tibetan grain with a distinct almond like nut character, earthy and herbal undertones. Our Ancient Tibetan Purple Barley Malt boasts a rich legacy that stretches back over 3,000 years to the lofty highlands of Tibet, where this remarkable grain has been nurtured through generations. Remarkably, this heirloom barley made its way to Victoria, Australia, in the early 1900s before finding a safe haven in a U.S. seed vault. Today, with a revived appreciation for heritage varieties in regenerative farming, this unique grain has re- emerged as a treasured staple, celebrated for its distinctive flavors and unique nutritional benefits.
