Honey, Sweetgrass, Shredded Wheat

Valley Malt · Flavour and use

A hard red wheat that was introduced to this area and quickly gained a reputation as being hardy, moderate yielding, and low protein, with an excellent flavor in baking, cooking, and brewing. Made from a resilient winter wheat this malt adds sweetness with a touch of cereal notes while still providing low color and not overpowering a hazy IPA's hop aromas. We suggest every brewer use a percentage of Warthog Wheat for superb head formation and retention in your hazy IPA's. From a session to a DIPA, Warthog has got your back! Don't forget that this will lend amazing flavor to traditional wheat beers and farmhouse styles as well.
